About the role
Tocaro Blue develops ProteusCore™ (marine radar AI/ML for situational awareness) and ApolloCore™ (EO/IR camera system with object detection) for vessel autonomy. As Forward Deployed Engineer, you install and configure these systems on client vessels, perform dockside and sea trials, troubleshoot power/networking/sensor subsystems, and work directly with marine crews and operators. Requires 2+ years in local network configuration (NMCLI) and 2+ years preferred in marine electronics or integrated fielded systems. Tech: Linux, Python, C++, Rust, marine sensors (radar, GPS, IMU). Up to 75% monthly travel. $105K–$132K + incentive equity potential. Birmingham, AL.
